Say Yes To The Planner Before Selecting A Venue!

Often, individuals book a venue and then contact a planner to create magic on their special day. Sometimes, clients are conflicted by the question - “Is there enough money in my budget?” However, the answer should always be “YES,” because a planner can   be beneficial in assisting a client with his/her dream venue selection. The event industry is all about building relationships so that my clients benefit. Here’s why you should say yes to the planner before the venue!

Narrowing The Search:  As a planner who has worked in a variety of venues, I can immediately look at your list and share my experiences at different places in terms of attentiveness, food/beverage, and overall atmosphere. From there, I would bring my clients on tours with the event coordinators who I have worked with to build that client-vendor relationship.

Dates: Venue dates are filling up faster than ever. Recently, a few catering managers have shared that couples are booking dates even before getting engaged. As a  planner, I have established relationships with venues and could potentially assist in locking in a date that may not have been available to the “general public”.

Vision:  After I build rapport with my clients, I can guide them to spaces that can accommodate their event idea. Whether clients want crystals, rustic, or industrial vibes, outdoor spaces, indoor spaces or a mix of both, the venue sets the tone for the event.

Prices: Planners can help negotiate prices for their clients with their venue connections to seal the deal. If a planner brings clients to a venue and they book, everyone wins!

Planners work tirelessly to carry out their clients’ visions. Therefore, when they are involved from the beginning and help in the venue selection, it creates a smooth process to ensure their clients’ dreams come true.
